———————————————————————————————————————-

The SBA is providing low interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes, and private, non-profit organizations. These loans are to help repair or replace real estate, personal property, machinery and equipment, inventory, and business assets that have been damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster, like the current flood situation in Georgia.

As with Presidential disaster declarations, FEMA is the lead Agency and works with the State to identify Disaster Recovery Centers. The Centers are staffed with representatives from FEMA, SBA, State and other agencies involved in providing disaster assistance. Currently, there are three Disaster Recovery Centers that are open 7 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM:

Cherokee County – Cherokee City Parks and Recreation Gym, 7545 Main Street, Building 200, Woodstock, GA 30188

Cobb County – The Threadmill, 5000 Austell/Powder Springs Road, Suite 120, Austell, GA 30106

Douglas County – Lithia Springs United Methodist Church, 3711 Temple Street, Lithia Springs, GA 30122

Homeowners and renters must register with FEMA to obtain a FEMA Registration ID Number by calling 1-800-621-3362. The speech or hearing impaired may call (TTY) 1-800-462-7585.
